Breast milk is very essential. After giving birth to my bundle of joy I remember my doctor kept telling me to breastfeed my baby. Any time my baby temperature would rise with two degrees she would repeat the same thing. It hurt so bad breastfeeding the first few days and I remember shedding a tear several times in the process. Sometimes in those days one feels like breastfeeding is a nightmare but when you realize the health benefits breast milk has to your baby you would look forward to it
Breast milk boosts baby immunity

The first milk produced by a mother is known as colostrum. It is a substance with high protein and low in fat. Easily digested and therefore your baby has no problem with constipation. It also entails a very high concentration of antibodies which are very important in building a strong immune system. Over time colostrum turns into the normal milk but its nutritional value does not decrease.
For example: Breast milk It acts a remedy to infant jaundice. One in the many causes of jaundice to infants is lack of enough nutrients. Breastfeed your baby as often as one can to reduce the possibility of jaundice to your new born. However, there are also other causes of jaundice that a mother should seek doctors care. Jaundice is characterized by yellow colouring of the skin and the white part of the eye.
It reduces the risk for infant infectious illnesses
According to a research conducted by Unicef United Kingdom , over 4000 children in Holland breastfed exclusively for four months are immune to infectious illnesses. This diseases mainly affect the gastrointestinal tract,upper and lower respiratory.
Breastfeeding plays a major role in bonding

The maternal bond created between mother and infant during breastfeeding results to a good quality relationship It is therefore not only a nutritional powerhouse but also a bond and love experience.
